Join Hike Psych, Leave No Trace and Craghoppers for a clean up hike on Saturday August 19th. We will also have a prize worth €190 from Craghoppers for one participant and a discount code for all who register.

We will have separate starting points to double the area we can clean. The Ticknock team will be led by Cara Byrne and the Tibradden team by Jennifer O’Reilly from Pull Up Your Slieve.

Leave No Trace Trainers will join both teams to create awareness and understanding of the potential impacts of outdoor activities on the environment and how to minimize those impacts to protect natural and cultural resources.

Participants on this session will receive introductory training on:

• how Leave No Trace skills and ethics can help protect our environment and outdoor spaces and promote responsible, sustainable outdoor pursuits and recreation.
• the role of the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace in achieving these goals.
• the impact that sporting, recreational and leisure activities can have on our natural environment.
• how Leave No Trace skills and practices can help to mitigate and minimise those impacts.
