As part of Her Outdoors Week, Leave No Trace and Achill Outdoor Education Center are coming together to offer a unique Stand Up Paddle Boarding session.

Achill OEC will lead women on a SUP session while a Leave No Trace trainer creates awareness and understanding of the potential impacts of outdoor activities on the environment and how to minimize those impacts to protect natural and cultural resources.

Women on this session will receive introductory training on:

• how Leave No Trace skills and ethics can help protect our environment and outdoor spaces and promote responsible, sustainable outdoor pursuits and recreation.
• the role of the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace in achieving these goals.
• the impact that sporting, recreational and leisure activities can have on our natural environment.
• how Leave No Trace skills and practices can help to mitigate and minimise those impacts.
