Education Officer David visited St Micheal’s National School in Cloonacool, Co Sligo today to share some fun facts about the ocean. The workshop funded by The Marine Institute offers children an insight into the seven ocean literacy principles and the programme offers teachers access to resources and lesson plans enabling them to understand the oceans’s influence on us and our influence on the ocean. These lucky children are also participating in the exciting Explorers Pop Art and Creative Writing Competition. This competition has some very exciting prizes for schools.
