Last weekend despite the poor weather, participants in Bundoran and Rathmullen interested in learning how they can enjoy water-sports while leaving no trace took part in a 10 hour course delivered over 2 days. This Leave No Trace Training course was designed for anyone with an interest in watersports living in Donegal. It enabled attendees to learn more about Leave No Trace Skills and Ethics, helping them to protect, preserve and enhance Donegal’s upland, coastal and inland environments through responsible outdoor recreation.They learned how to apply the 7 principles of Leave No Trace to their chosen activity and also learned about the local biodiversity and the importance of protecting the rich biodiversity of Donegal. Participants learned about the importance of Bio-security and taking care not to spread invasive species., This course was part of a series of courses being delivered by Leave No Trace in Donegal this month. in partnership with Donegal Local Development Company. .
