Beaches & Dunes for Climate Adaptation: Training for Communities
The Beaches & Dunes for Climate Adaptation Course aims to: empower local communities to take action to reduce coastal erosion and protect their coast’s ecosystem services and it will teach the use of Nature Based Solutions to achieve this.
This is a 2 part event and you must attend both parts.
Part 1: Workshop – 7th April
Part 2: Practical – 9th June
The event will focus on training for community groups and leaders on how best to utilize beaches and dunes as a coastal protection option. There will be plenty of hands-on learning which will equip participants with the skills and know-how to enhance their local beach-dune habitats as resilient, long-term solutions to coastal flooding and erosion.
The Community Climate Action Programme: Climate Education, Capacity Building and Learning by Doing (Strand 2) is funded by the Government of Ireland through the Department of Environment Climate and Communications
