Beaches & Dunes for Climate Adaption: Training for Communities, Dog’s Bay Co Galway, Part 1: Theoretical Course

The Beaches & Dunes for Climate Adaptation Course aims to: empower local communities to take action to reduce coastal erosion and protect their coast’s ecosystem services and it will teach the use of Nature Based Solutions to achieve this.

This is a 2 part event and you must attend both parts.

Part 1: Workshop- 27th April

Part 2: Practical Course – 18th May

The event will focus on training for community groups and leaders on how best to utilize beaches and dunes as a coastal protection option. There will be plenty of hands-on learning which will equip participants with the skills and know-how to enhance their local beach-dune habitats as resilient, long-term solutions to coastal flooding and erosion. The training is funded by Pobal and the Department of Rural and Community Development
