Bren Whelan is an Advanced Leave No Trace trainer who has spent 30 years living and working globally as an outdoor educator and mountain instructor/guide. Bren is the owner-operator of ‘Donegal Climbing’, an outdoor education and adventure tourism business that offers a diverse range of outdoor activities to visitors and tourists. As a Winter Mountaineering & Climbing Instructor (WMCI) and International Mountain Leader (IML), Bren also delivers a wide range of accredited training and assessment courses on behalf of the Mountain Training Board of Ireland (MTBI). For several years Bren has worked in primary schools across Donegal, delivering the Leave No Trace ‘Schools Champion’ and Marine Institute of Ireland ‘Explorers’ programmes.
