An Introduction to Leave No Trace, Ireland’s national countryside code for responsible outdoor recreation online webinar will take place on Monday 26th April 15.00 hrs.
As a result of Covid-19 more people than ever are taking time to enjoy Ireland’s outdoors. However, with the surge in outdoor users, often to the same well-known places, overcrowding, parking issues and increased littering are just some of the impacts being felt across Ireland.
Leave No Trace Ireland seeks to address these impacts through teaching techniques designed to minimise environmental and social impacts in these areas through its education programme.
This free webinar will:
- Introduce Leave No Trace Ireland and the work that we do throughout the island.
- Give an overview of our training programmes.
- Outline how Leave No Trace helps people understand how their decisions and actions affect the outdoor environment.
- Build the knowledge and skills necessary to address environmental issues, as well as ways we can take action to keep our environment healthy and sustainable for the future.
