What if everyone who visited Ireland’s outdoors had the opportunity to do more than just visit but to help protect this shared outdoor space? That’s the goal of our bold initiative that focuses on offering educational opportunities to Corporates where it matters most – in Ireland’s outdoors.
Members of the Google Serve team joined Leave No Trace facilitators last week in Ballyfermot at the 7th Lock and carried out a big clean up of the canal and towpath. The team met representatives of Ballyfermot Youth Services, the Canal Ambassadors and learned of the great work they are doing in the community. Rubbish was collected by Dublin City Council on the evening of the Cleanup and the work was greatly complimented by locals and canal walk users. The partnership between Waterways Ireland, Leave No Trace Ireland and Dublin City Council all contributed to the success of the day.
