The Leave No Trace Ireland Podcast Series 2: Mental Health Awareness Month 2023

The Leave No Trace Ireland Podcast is back for another series of episodes, this time focusing on how the outdoors and our mental health are intrinsically linked:

This month we’re talking to people who work in the outdoors, enabling our connection, understanding, and mental health journeys through our outdoor spaces.

Episode 1:
Cara Byrne, Founder of The Hike Psych

Cara Byrne is the founder of Hike Psych, Ireland’s only hiking psychotherapy practice. In this episode, we talk about how hiking therapy has allowed Cara to utilise all the interpersonal and evidence based processes of a psychotherapy session, but instead sitting of indoors at a table, she and her clients take to the hills.
