Walking with Wildlife – New guide to Northern Ireland’™s upland environment

Mountaineering Ireland has just published a basic guide to the key flora and fauna of Northern Ireland’s uplands. The leaflet includes a photo guide with brief descriptions for some of the plant, bird, mammal and invertebrate species that walkers and climbers may come across in the hills. The guide is laminated for use in the outdoors.

This publication was funded under the Northern Ireland Environment Agency NGO Challenge Fund 2014, which was administered by Northern Ireland Environment Link. Mountaineering Ireland intends to develop similar guides for other areas.
