Leave No Trace Environmental Awareness Workshops Wicklow
An event every 2 days that begins at 10:00 am, repeating until February 12, 2021
This primary school project, in partnership with Wicklow Co Co will focus on the theme of Litter and how we can make responsible decisions when in the outdoors to reduce the amount of litter in the environment. As with all ‘Leave No Trace’ programmes through experiential learning our experienced Educators will help to raise and strengthen social and behavioural environmental consciousness amongst school children. They will achieve this through a blend of online workshops, and getting children actively thinking and involved in the programme. All classes will be encouraged to create an action plan to work on after the workshop.
The programme is specifically aimed at 4th through to 6th year classes in primary schools to provide a fun and engaging environment for children to learn about Ireland’s natural environment, the importance of biodiversity, impact of our daily actions and positive actions they can take. The course has been designed to complement both the primary school curriculum for the Republic of Ireland, and the An Taisce Green Schools programme.
