We would like to invite all our accredited trainers to our next CPD taking place in Salthill on the 20th of July.

Below is the layout for the day:   

9:30-10am: Informal Networking (Optional)
This is an optional early arrival time to meet and chat with other Leave No Trace Trainers. Tea, Coffee & treats will be available.  

10 – 10:30am: What is happening at LNTI (Info Sharing)
Updates on what is going on at Leave No Trace Ireland and where we are heading. 

10:30 – 12:00pm: How do you use yours? (Workshop with Trainers) 

This is a trainer sharing session, aimed at sharing tips & tricks on how we deliver LNT awareness activities. For example, I use the “breakdown game” at least 3 different ways depending on the group/objective. I will be demonstrating those and looking for ideas/alternative methods from the other trainers present to serve as inspiration and development of all our practice in the field. Specific activities that will be explored will be shared with the attendees in advance once registration is complete. 

12:00 – 1pm: Lunch (Provided by LNT Ireland) 

Special dietary requirements will be sought once registration is complete. 

1 – 4pm: Exploring Irish Seashores and Seaweed 

The session aims to familiarize participants with the concept of a seashore safari using the five pathways to nature connection focusing on seaweed. We will forage along the coastline and explore it’s many uses including mitigation against climate change, status as a superfood, heritage Irish food, biofuel, pharmaceutical product, replacement for plastic. This session will engage everyone in hands-on experiential exploration, group discussions, and reflective practices to better understand the wonders of seaweed.
