Free Event | All Welcome!
This course is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills to minimise their impact on Ireland’s natural landscapes, with a particular focus on preserving and enhancing biodiversity.
Through an engaging exploration of the 7 Leave No Trace principles, participants will gain a deeper understanding of responsible outdoor recreation practices that protect habitats and maintain healthy ecosystems. The course covers key concepts such as proper waste disposal, respecting wildlife, and leaving what you find—all critical actions in safeguarding the delicate balance of Ireland’s biodiversity.
By the end of the day, you will understand how your actions in the outdoors can directly impact wildlife and ecosystems, and how to make ethical decisions that contribute to the conservation of native species and the protection of Ireland’s natural heritage. This course fosters a strong sense of environmental stewardship, empowering individuals to play a vital role in protecting and preserving biodiversity for generations to come.
Be part of the solution—learn to leave no trace and help protect Ireland’s precious natural environments.
The course will be held mainly outdoors, so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear to keep yourself warm. Please bring your own lunch, as this is not provided.
