Kevin McGlynn is a keen hill walker with a love for wild and remote places. He is a Mountain Leader and Hill & Moorland Leader. He has been delivering Leave No Trace training since 2019 seeking to promote the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace to people of all ages and backgrounds so that we can better appreciate, promote and protect these special places and processes. He is also a Navigation Skills tutor.

 

He is deeply committed to protecting the natural environment that sustains us all. He has worked in Environmental Protection for over 30 years. He has facilitated a range of environmental improvement projects in schools and in the community. He is an active volunteer in a number of community projects.

 

Kevin has a particular interest in how being active outdoors in natural environments such as forests and mountainsides, coasts and rivers, and so on (wild blue and green spaces) has a positive impact on our Health and Well-Being.

 

Based in County Down, Kevin is liable to be found exploring the Mournes and Slieve Croob AONB or along the Irish Sea coast but is always ready to explore further afield.
