Andrew graduated from Uniiversity Collge, Dublinwith a Bsc(Hons) Genetics & Zoology , 1995 .. Andrew has been involved in outdoor education for more than 20 years. He took up his post with Cavan & Monaghan ETB at Tanagh Outdoor Education & Training Centre member in 2003 to head the Field Studies programme but has been also actively pursuing a wide range of additional qualifications including the Advanced Leave No Trace Trainer in 2008. Andrew has a passionate interest in the outdoor environment and has developed many new programmes teaching ecology and geography to meet the needs of the primary and secondary school curriculum. Andrew also teaches and instructs Rock Climbing, Hill Walking , Canoeing, Kayaking, Orienteering, Archery and Biking and is a core tutor on the QQI Level 5 Outdoor Instructor Traineeship since 2013.
The ethics and principals of Leave No Trace are a good fit to his own ideas and principals concerning the environment and was the key motivation to become a Leave No Trace Advanced Trainer to help spread the message.
