Alan’s early years were spent growing up in Scotland and abroad, and he has been living in Ireland for the past 20 years. He works in the public outdoor education sector as a senior instructor and so a lot of his time is spent outdoors. Alan believes we can all appreciate how valuable a resource it is for us in many ways. He enjoys sharing his interest to preserve and protect the outdoor environment through the Leave No Trace message. So that we can enjoy what we have now and going into the future, minimising our impact and making a positive contribution back to nature.
