Originally from Co. Limerick, a graduate of Limerick School of Art & Design, Aileen Galvin is one of Ireland’s leading marketing, communications and event strategists, with over 20 years’ experience building and delivering projects across a diverse industry base, from arts, culture and heritage through tourism, hospitality and commercial.  Recent marketing, publicity and development projects include Other Voices Festival, Mayo, Belfast and Kerry; Ireland’s Edge Culture & Creativity Conference, Kerry, Dublin and Mayo; Ireland New York Festival, Limerick 2018; consumer and tourism PR and marketing for Airfield Estate, Dublin; brand partnerships for Sony Pictures Ireland; event management of Cinema Ball 2018 Dublin; communications advisor to the Board of the National Concert Hall; creative marketing consultant to the National Gallery of Ireland and strategic marcomms work with Tipperary Tourism, Mayo County Council and Ballina Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, Aileen has been appointed Interim Marketing and Communications Director for the national St. Patrick’s Festival, Dublin 2019. She is also currently in planning phase to deliver a Marketing and Communications campaign for the opening of the Museum of Literature Ireland (MoLI), Dublin, slated for June 2019.

In 2017, Aileen lead the marketing, communications and events campaigns for the reopening of the Historic Wings of the National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin. She also developed marketing campaigns for National Gallery exhibitions including Caravaggio, Vermeer, F.W. Burton and Roderic O’Conor and publicity campaigns for visual artists including Mick O’Dea, James Earley, Leah Hewson, Debbie Godsell and many others. She has worked in PR, Marketing and Production for numerous festivals including Electric Picnic, Oxegen, Other VoicesCork X Southwest, Westport Festival of Music and Arts, Bulmers Live at Leopardstown, IMRO Venue Awards and many more. Over the years, Aileen has worked on PR and marketing campaigns with hundreds of international music artists from Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen to Beyonce, Morrissey and Blondie, as well as a huge number of Irish bands and musicians.

Previously, Aileen was Marketing and Publicity Executive at Disney Ireland and Product Marketing Manager at Sony Music Ireland. She was Managing Director and co-owner of Entertainment Architects music and entertainment PR and Marketing Agency for 10 years. Aileen also held the role of Director of Marketing & Communications with Press Up Entertainment Group, leading national and international marcomms campaigns for The Dean Hotel, The Clarence Hotel, the Vintage Cocktail Club, Peruke & Periwig, Tower Records, Captain Americas, The Workman’s Club, Union Café and many more hospitality businesses. She is Managing Partner and co-owner of Sync & Swim marketing, communications and creative consultancy, based in Dublin.  Aileen was recently appointed to the Boards of the National Campaign for the Arts (NCFA) and Leave No Trace Ireland.
