Paula Needham

Meet Paula, a teacher from Westport and part of our team of Croagh Patrick Ambassadors! This dedicated team of volunteers assist the public in appreciating the mountain and it’s surroundings through education. They also drive public awareness of the importance of caring and respecting the natural heritage, so that visitors can continue to enjoy and protect Croagh Patrick.

 

Paula is an avid park runner and outdoor enthusiast who has been climbing Croagh Patrick since she was knee-high! A dedicated and passionate Post Primary teacher from Westport with a deep commitment to education and student development. With over 16 years of experience in teaching, Paula specialises in Geography and Mathematics and is known for her engaging and innovative teaching methods. Her enthusiasm for the environment and sustainability is reflected in her educational approach and extracurricular activities.

She is deeply passionate about environmental conservation and sustainability, believing in the adage “bailíonn brobh beart.”

Paula embodies the Irish saying “Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine,” reflecting her belief in the importance of community and mutual support.
