Get the Right Map

You can get lots of different types of maps for visits to conservation areas.

For Short walks and rides you can usually use the maps found in recreation brochures or on the signs at trail heads.

For Longer day walks and overnight adventures, it’s advised to carry and use detailed topographic maps. There are a few different producers, such as Ordinance Survey Ireland or East West Mapping. Sport Ireland also provide detailed maps of some of their walking routes for free to download.

OSI maps and souvenir planning maps are also available from tourist information offices nationwide.
