Our educational programmes continue to grow and we are delighted to have delivered our first 2 day Trainer Course in Tubbercurry, Co Sligo over the bank holiday weekend. Our newly qualified trainers learned techniques to help them share the Leave No Trace message and help protect, preserve and enhance responsible outdoor recreation in all environments.
The Trainer Course is a vital component of the nationwide Leave No Trace Ireland programme and the participants received introductory training in Leave No Trace Ireland skills and ethics in a condensed two-day format with an overnight camp in nature.
The successful graduates of this Trainer Course gained skills to teach Leave No Trace Ireland techniques and ethics to their clients, friends, and family. Participants learned the concept of Leave No Trace and are now ready to teach Leave No Trace curriculum in a variety of settings – such as schools, camps, parks, wilderness areas.
