Leave No Trace Ireland Awarded ‘Triple Lock’ Status by the Charities Institute Ireland

7th August 2022:  We are pleased to announce that Leave No Trace Ireland has been awarded ‘Triple Lock’ status by the Charities Institute Ireland (CII), reflecting our commitment to good governance, good fundraising practices and transparency.

Triple Lock status is awarded to charities that uphold the highest standards in transparent reporting, ethical fundraising and strong governance structures. This recognition is the gold standard for Irish charities to offer assurances to donors, members and the general public.

In order to attain the Triple Lock, we:

  • Adopted and maintain compliance with the Guidelines for Charitable Organisations on Fundraising from the Public. This means that our staff are fully trained on what’s required, and we have implemented controls to ensure that all our fundraising practices are fully in line with the Guidelines.
  • Prepare our annual financial statements (which can be viewed here) in compliance with the Charity SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice under FRS102) accounting standard.
  • Completed the full implementation of the Charities Regulator Charities Governance Code.

We are committed to keeping our policies & procedures under constant review in order to maintain our adherence to the above standards.
