‘Sustainable Days’ celebrates greener living with a creative and crucial movement
The event seeks to show attendees how small everyday changes can help them lead a ‘greener’ lifestyle
What: Sustainable Days
When: Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November 2020, from 10:30am each day
Sustainable Days is a free two-day online family event dedicated to our environment, which aims to provide guests with unique opportunities to learn and explore sustainability in science, technology, engineering and climate change. Brought to you by Dublin City Council, this event aims to demonstrate the small everyday changes we all can take towards leading a more sustainable life with family friendly workshops, activities and talks.
Sustainable Days endeavours to educate guests while advocating for the incorporation of innovative solutions to our everyday lives. Partners in this event are the Rediscovery Centre, a creative movement connecting people, ideas and resources to support greener low-carbon living. The Rediscovery Centre will be on hand to give a deeper understanding of the scientific side of climate actions through demonstrations in biodiversity, cycling, waste, engineering and the environment. The event will also be supported by various Irish organisations promoting energy conservation, waste management, climate change and ecology.
Sustainable Days will support the objectives and aspirations of Dublin City Council’s Climate Change Action Plan 2019-2024. Featuring a range of actions across five key areas which include: Energy and Buildings; Transport; Flood Resilience; Nature-Based Solutions; and Resource Management.
Sustainable Days aims to be informative and educational with the intention of creating advocates for the sustainability movement. Through constructive play, entertaining talks and activities, the audience will learn how they can make a difference to the world we live in with subtle changes in their life styles.
