HER Outdoors Week
8th-14th August 2022
Leave No Trace Ireland is a proud supporter of HER Outdoors week 2022!
This week aims to celebrate and encourage more women to get out and enjoy the benefits of being in the outdoors, while bringing visibility to the opportunities for females of all ages to get involved in outdoor physical activity.
We at Leave No Trace Ireland know the importance of everyone having access to our outdoor spaces – for our mental and physical health, and for feeling grounded and connected to ourselves and the places we call home. Finding new and accessible ways for more people to get outside and learn about our amazing environments is a core component to our outdoor education programme, and we are always delighted to be working with awareness weeks like this one.
Created by our partners Sport Ireland, the first HER Outdoors Week was held last year with great success – and this year it’s lining up to be an even bigger nationwide campaign.
From the 8th – 14th of August, there will be opportunities for ALL women to escape to the outdoors and try something new. For such a tiny island, there are so many incredible outdoor activities on offer and this should be celebrated to the fullest!
So get involved!
