Google Ireland Volunteers make an impact

Over 60 employees of Google Ireland Ltd have helped to make a positive environmental impact on various sites in Dublin throughout the summer. Employees have participated in assisting local Tidy Towns groups, removal of invasive species in Ballygannon Wood and in litter picks at The Hellfire Club and Masseys Wood and The Phoenix Park.

As well as making a practical and positive impact on the environment, employees learned about the ethics of Leave No Trace Ireland, and the impact of littering and irresponsible behaviour in the outdoors. They also had a fun day out of the office while contributing to a worthwhile initiative. Employees took time to reflect on their own personal impacts in the environment and considered small changes they can make in their work environment.

Leave No Trace Ireland worked with our partners in Coillte, The OPW, Dublin Mountain Partnership, and Tidy Towns groups to facilitate the volunteering days.
