Last week participants from 5 European countries came together as part of the Erasmus+ project – NGEurope. Developed to encourage participation in voluntary organisations and NGO’s the programme encourages the sharing of knowledge, ideas, and cultural similarities and differences. Participants traveled from Greece, Austria, Spain, and Portugal to share with the Irish participants. Ideas were shared on conservation within communities and new networks were created. As well as individuals from all over Ireland, participants came from GEAI and the Irish Rural Network, Swift Conservation Mayo, Leave No Trace, Louisburg Community Futures, Climate Ambassadors, Nature Inspires and GMIT.
