Volunteers from Deloitte in Dublin joined Leave No Trace Facilitators last week to contribute over 240 work hours in the Hell Fire Club area of the Dublin Mountains. Employees reported major satisfaction in contributing to a defined and valuable community need and in using their skills to work with colleagues in a new environment.
Volunteering is integral to our culture and corporate volunteering can be a gateway into the wider world of volunteering. Many people who may not have considered it before have mentioned volunteering in their own time after having a taster as part of our CSR days.
Our CSR days involve undertaking community activities which have a positive long-term impact and last week the volunteers picked bags of litter from the trails and from the Hell Fire Clubhouse.
Leave No Trace worked in partnership with Coillte, Dublin Mountain Partnership and PURE and would like to thank all of our partners and the staff from Deloitte for their efforts to protect and enhance our recreational areas.
