Leave No Trace Ireland are currently compiling their Autumn Training Calender. Our mission is to promote and inspire responsible outdoor recreation through education, research and partnership throughout the island of Ireland. The programme teaches people simple skills and techniques to minimise their impact on the environment.
The first scheduled course takes place in Mulranny, Co Mayo. On August 31st, this one-day course is designed for individuals who are interested in learning more about Leave No Trace Ireland ethics and for those who will be delivering Leave No Trace Ireland Awareness workshops in the future or progressing to the Leave No Trace Trainer Course. Through very short classroom discussions, outdoor lectures and outdoor activities, this course will cover the seven Leave No Trace Ireland principles and discuss outdoor ethics in Ireland. It will give the participants tools and techniques for disseminating low-impact skills to others.

The training courses are available to the following five categories – walking and hiking groups, on and off-road cycling groups, water sports groups, adventure race, and festival organisers, and local communities. Specific dates are to be released this September with courses taking place in October, November and December.
Further details of upcoming courses will be shared shortly, if you have a group who are interested in Leave No Trace training, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
