Greg Sommer has been brought up with these skills, the core routines of which are explained in Coyotes Guide to Connecting to Nature http://www.coyotesguide.com/. He has taught in Ireland at the Irish Permaculture and Nature Awareness School in Kerry http://www.ipna.ie/ and is an instructor with Jon Young in California http://www.regenerativedesign.org/rdna-native-eyes-program. There are a growing number of people in Ireland interested in these skills, which are our heritage (trackers are spoken of in the life of Fionn Mac Cumhaill), thousands of people are practising these skills all over the world.
The contents of the day include:
- Introduction to Tracking
- Skills to observe wild animals
- Bird language
- Art of mentoring
- Art of questioning - Diadactic vs experiential learning
- Proven games and routines to connect children and adults to nature
- Building nature connection

The workshop will be held in beautiful surroundings at a location near Powerscourt Waterfall, directions will be sent to attendees. Start time is 11am until 5pm this Sunday 8th August. Much of this experiential workshop will be outdoors so come prepared for all weathers.
Please bring your own lunch or a dish to share, teas and coffees are provided. People are welcome to stay behind after and talk, often there are alot of inspiring moments and ideas to share.
Donations of between €20 to €50 are welcome to cover Gregs travel and running costs but please don't hesitate to come if this is prohibitive, all are welcome.
