Gas Networks Ireland take action with Leave No Trace in Cork

A group of employees from Gas Networks Ireland in Cork spent an afternoon in Curraghbinny Woods developing an awareness and understanding of the concept and principles of Leave No Trace. The employees developed an understanding of motivations for conservation in the outdoors for the individual and community. They discussed the potential environmental costs of increased recreational activity outdoors and in particular the impacts on sensitive environments.
The group also did a clean up of the woods and analysed where the litter may have come from and what we can do to address the issue and minimise littering in our parks.
